The V&A Dundee have just unveiled a Taylor Swift-themed kimono ahead of her visit to Scotland.
To celebrate Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour in Edinburgh, V&A Dundee has unveiled a new custom-designed kimono inspired by her music.
Scotland’s design museum commissioned KellyDawn Riot, a Glasgow School of Art graduate, to create the kimono, which depicts each of Swift’s eras.
The hand-illustrated, digitally-printed velvet kimono draws inspiration from Taylor Swift’s songs and the museum’s exhibition "Kimono: Kyoto to Catwalk."
Now on display at V&A Dundee, the kimono features collages representing each era, using the color schemes of her albums and references to animals and plants from her lyrics.
The back panel is inspired by Swift’s latest album, "The Tortured Poets Department," with mentions of roses and gardens from the songs "Clara Bow" and "I Hate It Here."
The front of the kimono features a snake from the "Reputation" album and butterflies from the "1989" album.
