V&A Dundee, Scotland’s design museum, has welcomed its 2 millionth visitor less than six years after opening in September 2018.

Jenny Gaskell from Ayrshire visited the museum at 4:23 pm on Thursday, May 23, during a trip to Dundee to see her family.

She was greeted by museum Director Leonie Bell and Councillor Steven Rome.

They presented Jenny with a gift bag containing Scottish designed products from the V&A Dundee shop, a £100 Dundee Loves Local gift card, and tickets to the Kimono exhibition.

The museum has significantly impacted Dundee and the surrounding region.

Over 500,000 people have visited the city for the first time due to the museum.

V&A Dundee has generated over £300 million in economic impact for Scotland.

The museum continues to be a transformative force for the area.
