The V&A Dundee was included in the top five places to view art by the sea, the Royal Academy of Arts has revealed.
The design museum, the only Scottish institution included on the list, was ranked second in the overall category, commending its dramatic waterside location and beautiful design and modern exhibitions.
The full list of top coastal art galleries is:
1. Hastings Contemporary – Hastings, England
2. V&A Dundee – Dundee, Scotland
3. Turner Contemporary – Margate, England
4. Tenby Museum and Gallery – Tenby, Wales
5. Tower Gallery – Eastbourne, England
V&A Dundee has been a cultural landmark since it opened in 2018, drawing visitors from across Scotland and beyond with its thought-provoking exhibitions and its Kengo Kuma-designed building, inspired by the Scottish cliffs.
The award from the Royal Academy of Arts also cements its status as a destination that art and design lovers should not miss, particularly for those who wish to immerse themselves in culture along the coast.
