Dundee has been named one of the top ten places to visit in Scotland, according to a new list by TimeOut.
The city has been celebrated for its "stylish regeneration" and its recent cultural transformation, described as having "enjoyed a new lease of life."
A key driver behind Dundee's revitalisation has been the opening of the V&A Dundee in 2018. This landmark is Scotland's first design museum and the first Victoria and Albert Museum outside of London.
The museum, designed by renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, draws inspiration from Scotland’s coastal cliffs and Dundee’s maritime history.
Since its debut, the V&A has hosted a diverse range of exhibitions, from displays on tartan and kimonos to explorations of video games.
TimeOut adds that Dundee's impact extends beyond the V&A Dundee, aa it acts as a catalyst for the city’s broader redevelopment.
Dundee’s waterfront, once a post-industrial area, has been transformed into a vibrant hub, while the city’s dining, nightlife, and cultural scenes have all flourished.
The recognition by TimeOut further cements Dundee's place as a must-visit destination, offering a rich blend of history, design, and modern urban appeal.
