Several Dundee parks are in line of upgrades worth £500,000.

Dundee City Council announced the proposals to upgrade about half a dozen parks in the city ranging from the likes of Dudhope Park, Pitarlie Park, Fairbairn Park and Longhaugh Park to name a few.

Most of the cash from the proposals will go towards installing new inclusive play equipment and existing equipment is set to be removed or refurbished.

Moncur Crescent Park will see the addition of a new wheelchair accessible roundabout, whilst Lochee Park will see new shelters added.

Fairburn Street Park will see the installation of new inclusive communication and sensory panels and Kinpurie Park will see the addition of a new climbing unit.

Councillors approved the plans, with the administration stating that they hope that children and families in and around Dundee make use of the new facilities.
