Tonight, stargazers across Dundee and beyond are in for a treat as the Planet Parade appears in the evening sky.


The astronomical event sees seven planets align in a stunning visual display, and it is an event not to be missed by space enthusiasts.


It will be the last planet parade on this scale until 2040.


If you’re hoping to catch the best view of the Planet Parade, here are the top spots in and around Dundee to set up your telescope or simply enjoy the show with the naked eye.


Mills Observatory


Mills Observatory is the ideal place in Dundee to witness the Planet Parade.


Located on Balgay Hill, it boasts a high, light-pollution-free vantage point ideal for stargazing.


The telescopes at the observatory will provide a close-up look at the planets, and staff can guide visitors through the spectacle.
