The Northern Lights have just been spotted over Dundee as the city welcomes 2025


Dundee bared witness to an absolute spectacular Northern Lights show as the city welcomed in the new year.


The aurora came as a surprise to many and Dundonians flocked outside to see the spectacle for themselves.


Taking to Instagram, Graham Thomson captured the aurora from Broughty Ferry, and was also briefly spotted at Dundee Culture’s studio.


The aurora was also spotted throughout Scotland and the rest of the UK
