The Dundee Rep and Scottish Dance Theatre have unveiled an ambitious 2025 season, packed with creativity, connection, and community at its heart.
The new trailer today lets the participants do the talking as it celebrates the dizzying array of premieres, bold creations, and old favourites for all ages.
This programme reinforces both organisations' commitments to the creation of work that is challenging, original, and entertaining.
Make it Happen is the flagship show of the season
The real highlight of the season, however, is the world premiere of the new play Make It Happen with legendary actor Brian Cox.
A co-production with the National Theatre of Scotland and the Edinburgh International Festival, the piece explores the rise and fall of the Royal Bank of Scotland during the 2008 financial crisis.

This biting satire, written by critically acclaimed playwright James Graham and directed by Dundee Rep's Artistic Director Andrew Panton, sees Brian Cox return to the Scottish stage as the ghost of fiscal past, Adam Smith.
Make It Happen will have its premiere at Dundee Rep in July, ahead of an Edinburgh International Festival debut in August.
New productions announced
The year also sees three major new stage productions from Dundee Rep. In April, the critically acclaimed Doubt: A Parable by John Patrick Shanley will be revived in a new production directed by Joanna Bowman, which examines cycles of accusation and mistrust in a 1960s Catholic school.
This autumn, Andrew Panton directs a new production of Tennessee Williams' classic The Glass Menagerie, returning almost three decades after its last production at Dundee Rep.

Over the festive season, Jack and the Beanstalk, in a vibrant musical version with catchy songs and an energetic cast of actor-musicians, is sure to beguile audiences of all ages.
Scottish Dance Theatre hosting major events
The Scottish Dance Theatre will also shine in 2025 with a series of tours and performances. The family-friendly smash hit Pirates! tours Scotland this spring, while immersive dance Ray is back in the studio this September, as is the interactive version for young audiences, Little Ray.
Also touring to Colombia and back to Dundee in October will be the critically acclaimed The Fock and Moving Cloud, a mesmerising mix of movement and music taking its inspiration from flight and Scottish folk traditions.
Community participation is also still very much at the heart of Dundee Rep and Scottish Dance Theatre's work. This summer All Will Be Well, featuring the songs of Dundee legend Michael Marra, will tour with a 100-strong community cast.
Written by emerging Dundonian playwright Jade Anderson, the surreal and comedic play follows stranded festival-goers on a journey back to Dundee.
Visiting productions coming to the Rep
The season will also feature an eclectic programme of visiting productions, including Confessions of a Shinagawa Monkey, KELI, and Inside Giovanni’s Room. With a vibrant mix of local and international works, the 2025 season promises to captivate and inspire audiences.
Offstage, the companies' Engage programme will involve 300 participants in creative workshops, while its dramatherapy services will go on supporting personal growth and stronger community ties.
This is an ambitious programme that demonstrates Dundee Rep and Scottish Dance Theatre's ongoing commitment to creating opportunities for, and with, people in Dundee and beyond.
