The Discover Dundee tour bus is coming back from May 21

Dundee’s popular open-top sightseeing bus is set to return to the city streets from 21 May, and will run until 28 September 2025, offering locals and visitors alike a breezy, panoramic way to explore Scotland’s sunniest city.

Running every hour from Wednesday to Sunday, the Discover Dundee tour is more than just a bus ride – it’s a flexible, hop-on hop-off journey through the city’s history, highlights and hidden gems.

From the top deck, passengers can soak in stunning views from Dundee Law, cruise across the Tay Road Bridge, and enjoy sights of the V&A Dundee, the historic waterfront, and more.

Whether you’re looking to revisit favourite landmarks or discover something new, the tour provides a fun and relaxed way to explore at your own pace.

Tickets are valid all day and can be used on any Xplore Dundee bus, making it easy to venture further – even as far as picturesque Broughty Ferry.

• Hourly tours from 10am to 5pm, Wednesday to Sunday

The main departure point is Discovery Point on Riverside Drive, just beside the V&A Dundee and railway station. Here, friendly Xplore Dundee staff will be on hand to answer questions, help with directions, and sell tickets.

The tour takes approximately 50 minutes from start to finish, and all buses are fully accessible, with space for a wheelchair or up to two unfolded buggies. There’s even a covered section at the front of the top deck – perfect for staying dry when the Scottish sunshine takes a break.
