Sir Tom Jones is coming to Dundee this July

Sir Tom Jones will headline the bill at Discovery Festival in Slessor Gardens this July.


Performing on 27 July as part of his Defy Explanation tour. The addition makes for a third and last day of live music to the festival with a promise of an unforgettable weekend at the very heart of Dundee.


Admired for his powerful voice and stage presence, the 84-year-old Welsh icon has captivated fans for over six decades with timeless hits like It's Not Unusual, Delilah, and Green, Green Grass of Home.


With over 100 million records sold, Jones is one of the greatest figures in music, continuing to receive critical acclaim for his latest albums Surrounded By Time and Long Lost Suitcase.


Discovery Festival stated:


"We are delighted to add a third and final day of fantastic music at Dundee's Slessor Gardens, bringing the weekend to a close with a legendary performance from Sir Tom Jones. It promises to be an unforgettable weekend, and we can't wait for fans to get together, sing along to classic hits, and celebrate a fantastic few days of live music in Dundee!"


Jones, knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2006, has been given a string of BRIT Awards, a Silver Clef Award, and a US Songwriters Hall of Fame Hitmaker Award.


Besides his solo success, he has collaborated with musical icons like Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Dolly Parton, and Ed Sheeran. As an established coach on The Voice UK, he continues to mentor new stars while showing off his own endurance in the industry.

Sunday, 27th July 2025 tickets are on general sale at 10am on Friday, 21st February from £55 + booking fee.
