NEXT is set to expand its presence in Dundee with plans to open a new store at The Stack Retail Park.

The Courier reports that the company has submitted a £2.2 million building warrant application, which has now been approved by Dundee City Council.

The upcoming store will occupy the former Home Bargains unit, which has been vacant since December 2023 when the previous tenant relocated.

Planned modifications include layout changes and the addition of new staff facilities. A Costa Coffee is also expected to be part of the new store.

NEXT's intention to move to The Stack Retail Park was first reported in May last year by the Courier, with signage approval granted in July. The progress on the store has been closely monitored, yet no official opening date has been announced at this time.

Currently, Next operates three stores in Dundee, located at Overgate, Gallagher Retail Park, and Kingsway West Retail Park. The new store at The Stack Retail Park is anticipated to enhance NEXT's offerings in the region, catering to the growing demand for retail space in Dundee.
