A brand new indoor skatepark has opened in Dundee - and it looks insane!

Passion Park, which sits in the old NGV autos unit on Gellatly Street, officially opened to the public today, finally bringing an end to months of anticipation with the city centre's only indoor skatepark.

It is an exciting new venue that opened its doors on Sunday and will operate seven days a week.

Designed by park architects with the needs and interests of various wheeled sports enthusiasts in mind, including skateboarders, BMX riders, and scooter aficionados, the skatepark boasts a good-sized area.

From beginner-friendly ramps and bowls to challenging obstacles, Passion Park has something for everyone, ensuring the park is as friendly to beginners as it is to experienced athletes.

The skatepark will open 7 days a week.

This layout is not only designed to add to the overall experience but also to push riders to new heights and explore tricks they may never have tried in a comfortable and controlled environment.

The new centre is the brainchild of two local entrepreneurs, Lewis Allan and Scott Young, who have invested the last three years into the space, shaping it into a state-of-the-art skateboarding facility.

During this time, they've overcome a number of challenges but never once let these two give up trying to keep the dream alive for the sport, and a promise, very strong, to the community of local skateboarders.
