Luxury chocolatier Hotel Chocolat is set to open its first store in Dundee, taking over the unit currently occupied by Regatta in the Overgate.
The news follows confirmation that outdoor brand Regatta is closing its store, which opened in 2022.
As per The Courier, Hotel Chocolat is already advertising for staff ahead of the new store’s launch, with roles including store and assistant manager positions.
The company is looking to build a team of passionate sales advisors as it prepares to open its doors in the city centre.
The move comes as part of a wider reshuffle at the Overgate, as the centre prepares for the opening of Frasers in June.
The new Hotel Chocolat store is expected to add to the centre’s appeal, especially as the brand continues to grow its presence across the UK.
Founded in 1993 by Angus Thirlwell and Peter Harris, Hotel Chocolat began as an online retailer before expanding into physical stores.
Today, it operates 126 shops across the UK, with additional outlets in Japan, as well as cafés, restaurants, and a subscription service.
Another branch also planned for St Andrews.
