Dundee's Universities Have Just Been Nominated For Ten Awards At The Herald Higher Education Awards




Dundee's universities have been nominated for a total of ten awards at this year's Herald Higher Education Awards.


The University of Dundee have been nominated for six awards, these include:


  • Outstanding Contribution to the Local Community – Active Living and Seniors Programme

  • Outstanding Contribution from a University Student - Laura Young (together with Abertay University)

  • Outstanding Contribution from a Staff Member - Usha Mani

  • Research Project of the Year - Professor Jill Belch

  • Research Project of the Year - iPlacenta

  • Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Award - EMBEDD (Engaging Minoritised Beneficiaries in Engineering Diversity Development)

Abertay University have also been nominated for four awards, these include:


  • Enhancing Student Learning Award - Co-creating student success through credit-bearing microcredentials

  • Outstanding Contribution from a University Student - Laura Young (together with University of Dundee)

  • Outstanding Business Engagement in Universities - Spearheading low carbon innovation with Transform Net Zero

  • Marketing/PR Campaign of the Year - Abertay A to B campaign
