Dundee planted over 32,000 trees and 50,000 native bulbs in the space of two years

Dundee planted over 32,000 trees and 50,000 native bulbs within the space of two years, a new report has revealed.


As part of Scottish Climate Week, a report, released by Dundee City Council revealed that 32,000 trees and 50,000 native bulbs were planted in the city from 2021 and 2023.


The Dundee City Council Biodiversity Duty Report revealed the findings with details on projects that took place within the community throughout the two year period.


Alongside this, the report also revealed that approximately 4,150 hours of volunteering took place, 45 public events, with 1,800 children engaged and 169 litter picking sessions taking place, ensuring that the city was left clean.


Dundee is regarded as Scotland's greenest city, boasting more parkland per head than any other Scottish city. This report solidifies the city's commitment to a greener future.
