Dundee is basking in the spotlight today as it claims the title of Scotland’s hottest city, with temperatures forecast to reach a warm 21°C, according to the Met Office.
Scotland’s sunniest city edges just ahead of Perth, which is set to enjoy 20°C, while other Scottish cities like Inverness, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling, Dunfermline, and Aberdeen are all expected to peak at around 18–19°C.
Sunshine is on the cards across much of the country, making it an ideal day for locals and visitors alike to get outside and soak up the spring warmth.
In Dundee, popular waterfront spots such as Slessor Gardens, the V&A, and Magdalen Green are likely to see plenty of sunseekers taking advantage of the fine weather.
The warmer conditions come as Scotland enjoys a spell of settled high pressure, bringing clear skies and sunshine to many parts of the country.
It’s a welcome boost for those looking to enjoy outdoor activities, whether it’s a stroll along the Tay or a visit to one of Dundee’s many parks.
With the forecast staying bright, it’s the perfect opportunity to make the most of the sunshine while it lasts.
