Dundee has been named the most affordable city in Scotland to buy a home, according to a new report by the Registers of Scotland.
The report, covering property sales from 2003-04 to 2023-24, shows Dundee's median residential property price over the past year was £135,000, making it the cheapest city for homebuyers in Scotland.
In contrast, East Lothian is the most expensive area, with a median property price of £283,227. Other costly areas include East Renfrewshire (£280,000) and Edinburgh (£270,000).
Inverclyde has the lowest median property price in Scotland at £107,108, followed by East Ayrshire (£117,000) and West Dunbartonshire (£121,000).
