The Dundee Football Club Community Trust (DFCCT) has officially submitted a planning application for a new football training centre and community hub at the Riverside Pitches.

The proposed facility aims to provide combined training amenities for various youth teams, enhance the girls’ and women’s program, and introduce inclusive initiatives like walking football, women’s recreational football, healthy lifestyle programs, and wellbeing initiatives.

Additionally, the facility will serve as a training centre for Dundee Football Club’s first team.

Dundee Football Club will play a pivotal role in this application and the community-focused activities of the proposed centre, building a stronger link between professional and community sports in Dundee.

The planning application was developed by Dundee-based LJRH Architects, commissioned by DFCCT.

DFCCT has secured funding from the Scottish FA’s Grassroots Pitch and Facilities Fund and the UK Government’s Levelling Up Fund. This investment will be matched by the owners of Dundee Football Club, who are dedicated supporters of the club’s charitable trust.
