Dundee Culture has joined Bluesky after ‘mass exodus’ takes place on X

Dundee Culture has joined Bluesky, the social media platform that is currently rivalling X, formerly known as Twitter.

Dundee Culture joining Bluesky comes as X sees a continued decrease in numbers following the acquisition by Elon Musk a few years back.

Following the US presidential election last week which saw former US president Donald Trump defeat Vice President Kamala Harris, many users have shifted from X to Bluesky, as well as other microblogging platforms like Threads, which Dundee Culture is also on, due to ever increasing rise in bots, racism and other issues which users have complained about.

Dundee Culture currently has 12,600 followers on X, the second-largest of its social media platforms behind Facebook, however Instagram has replaced the platform as the second-largest in terms of engagement earlier this year.

Currently, Dundee Culture is closely reaching its first 100 followers on the platform after joining yesterday.

Dundee Culture will continue to operate on X alongside Bluesky, giving the opportunity to promote Dundee on each platform.
