A popular café in Broughty Ferry is continuing to bring the magic of cinema to the heart of the community, unveiling an exciting new line-up for its Cinema Club.
Braw Tea Café, located next to Broughty Castle, has quickly established itself as a cosy hub for film lovers, following the success of its mini-cinema launch earlier this year.
After a warmly received test run, the café has now committed to hosting monthly screenings on the last Thursday of each month, with film selections based on audience votes.
The next films to be shown
The next six films on the schedule promise a mix of cult classics, feel-good favourites, and cinematic masterpieces:
Sunshine on Leith – March 27
Thelma & Louise – April 24
Amélie – May 29
Jaws – June 26
Pulp Fiction – July 24
Blade Runner: The Final Cut – August 28
Tickets for the first three films are now available to purchase at the café or online via Citizen Ticket.
A cosy cinema experience like no other
Braw Tea Café’s mini-cinema first opened its doors with a screening of When Harry Met Sally, drawing in a delighted audience for what was described as a “cosy and nostalgic evening”. Since then, demand has grown, and the introduction of the Cinema Club now ensures a regular space for classic film screenings in Broughty Ferry.
With its intimate setting, homemade Braw biscuits, ice cream, and warm drinks, the café offers a unique experience that blends great cinema with great company.
Ticket prices and seating options
There are three seating options available for Cinema Club screenings:
Standard Seating – £10 per person
Bistro tables and chairs with a comfy cushion.
Premium Single – £12 per person
Comfy beanbag and easy chairs for a more relaxed experience.
Premium Double – £24 per sofa

The Cinema Club has all the makings of a new cultural staple in Broughty Ferry, offering film lovers the chance to relive iconic movies in a friendly, welcoming space.
With the first screenings already proving popular, Braw Tea Café is set to become a go-to spot for a monthly dose of cinema magic—best enjoyed with a cuppa in hand.
