An RNLI-themed LEGO exhibition is opening up in Dundee this weekend

Dundee is set to host an exciting new LEGO-themed exhibition at the Broughty Ferry that celebrates the bravery and dedication of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) volunteers.

The RNLI-themed Lego exhibition, aptly named the Boatshed Bricks Exhibition, will take place at the Broughty Ferry Lifeboat - RNLI Station, running daily from 11am to 3pm from Sunday, June 30th, to Friday, July 12th.

This unique exhibition will feature meticulously crafted models that capture the essence of the RNLI's lifesaving operations. Among the highlights is the small D-class inflatable boat, often the first to launch from Broughty Ferry during emergencies.

Known for its speed and ease of launch, this boat plays a crucial role in rescue missions, requiring skilled volunteers who must quickly assemble and respond when a call for help is received.

Visitors to the exhibition can marvel at this and other impressive models, all constructed from Lego and other materials. These detailed representations not only showcase the ingenuity of the builders but also provide a fascinating insight into the essential equipment and vessels used by the RNLI.

The exhibition is a community-driven effort, with local residents contributing preloved Lego bricks to help bring the models to life.

Additionally, Steve Page Event Lighting and Projection Services Dundee has provided invaluable support, ensuring that the displays are presented in the best possible light.

Entry to the Boatshed Bricks Exhibition is by donation, with all proceeds directly supporting the RNLI's lifesaving activities on our shores. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about the vital work of the RNLI, enjoy some remarkable Lego creations, and contribute to a worthy cause.

Don't miss out on this engaging and educational event that celebrates the heroism of RNLI volunteers and the power of community collaboration.

You can visit the Broughty Ferry Lifeboat - RNLI Station between June 30th and July 12th to experience the magic of the Boatshed Bricks Exhibition.
