A yellow weather warning of rain has been issued for Dundee by the Met Office


The Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning of rain which is due to take effect from 12pm tomorrow.


Dundee will be under the weather warning from Wednesday lunchtime, right up until 6pm on Thursday.

Thundery showers have been forecast, however it is uncertain whether it will occur over Dundee.


Authorities have issued a warning that there is a slight chance of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses due to the incoming severe weather.





Additionally, there is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, potentially causing damage to buildings. In areas where flooding occurs, transportation could be significantly impacted, with possible delays or cancellations to train and bus services.


Spray and flooding are expected to create difficult driving conditions and may result in some road closures.


There is also a small chance that some communities could become isolated due to flooded roads.


Furthermore, the Met Office have warned that fast flowing or deep floodwater poses a potential danger to life.


Residents are advised to stay informed and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.
