Dundee’s Perth Road is set to be turned into a magical winter wonderland next month, as the Dundee Westfest team presents its inaugural Winter Westfest event to kick off the West End Christmas Fortnight.
As per The Courier, the event will see a festive light trail, traditional Christmas market at Miller’s Wynd car park, a meet and greet Santa stall as well as a choral service at West End Church
The festivities will begin at 4pm on Thursday, November 28, with colourful illuminations projected on buildings along Perth Road, featuring interactive computer games and festive-themed images.
According to Dundee Westfest chairperson Alan Wilson, the event has been meticulously planned over the past year in collaboration with local authorities and community members.
The aim is to provide families with a vibrant spectacle while boosting footfall for businesses in the area.
Volunteers from the Westfest Big Sunday committee have been working tirelessly to organize the event, which includes the Christmas Market at Miller’s Wynd and various activities along the light trail.
Organisers are encouraging community participation and seeking volunteers to ensure the safety of attendees during the event.
