Dundee Rep is set to celebrate the legacy of beloved local musician Michael Marra with a brand-new play this summer.
All Will Be Well, presented by Engage at Dundee Rep and Scottish Dance Theatre, will bring Marra’s songs to life with a cast of 100 community performers in a surreal and fast-paced journey through time and place.
The play follows a group of musicians and fans who, after an underground music festival in a Perthshire berry field, find themselves stranded in the middle of nowhere.
As they search for a way back to Dundee, they are thrown into strange and unexpected worlds, facing challenges that test their resilience and creativity.
Written by emerging Dundonian playwright Jade Anderson, All Will Be Well promises to be both a tribute to Marra’s songwriting genius and a celebration of Dundee’s artistic spirit.
Featuring a dozen of his most iconic songs, the production will capture the wit, warmth, and musical magic that made Marra a legend.
Blending comedy, music, and community-driven storytelling, this unique performance will showcase the power of local talent and the enduring influence of one of Dundee’s most cherished artists.
All Will Be Well is set to be a must-see event for fans of Marra and those who appreciate the city’s thriving creative scene.
