A new Greens convenience store is opening up in Broughty Ferry

A new Greens convenience store is set to open in Broughty Ferry this weekend, offering a fresh shopping experience for those living in the area, it has been confirmed.

The Courier reports that the Fife-based chain is strategically relocating to the former Premier shop on Claypotts Road, expanding its presence in Dundee with a second branch alongside the existing store on Albert Street in Stobswell.

Greens Broughty Ferry is more than just a store; it serves as a hub for local collaboration. By partnering with nearby suppliers, the store aims to provide a unique range of products tailored to the community's needs.

Customers can expect to enjoy products from Fisher and Donaldson bakery, high-quality butcher meat, Skwishee frozen drinks, and the convenience of a Costa Coffee express machine all in one place. The grand opening is scheduled for Saturday, June 8th, at 10 am, generating excitement.

A recent Facebook post has hinted at a fresh store look, highlighting the team's enthusiasm in working closely with local suppliers and fostering community support.

The journey to establish the Greens shop in Broughty Ferry began last summer, and with the imminent opening, the store is prepared to welcome shoppers with extended operating hours from 7 am to 10 pm, Monday to Saturday, and 8 am to 10 pm on Sundays.

The growth of Greens is evident in its reported turnover of £18.5 million through March 2023, marking a significant increase as the store count expanded from eight to 15 locations across Tayside and Fife within the same year.
