A new clothing shop selling second-hand clothes has just opened in Dundee

Updated: 16 minutes ago

A new shop selling second-hand clothes has opened in an old cafe in Dundee on the city's Commerical Street.

Preloved Secret Garden is the latest addition to the city's growing retail scene and has since grasped the attention of people thanks to it's eye catching frontage.

The old unit of Birchwood Emporium has been taken over by Preloved Secret Garden, once a staple for everything from coffee to banter on Commercial Street.

The clothing boutique has brought new life to it, creating a kind of second-hand boutique where shoppers can go green and avoid fast fashion while maintaining the essence of the building.

It is owned by Jack Shiffers, who has just launched his first pre-owned clothing store, Thrift City, last year.

Jack envisions Preloved Secret Garden to have a very warm and friendly atmosphere where customers could find quality and fashionable clothes at an affordable price while encouraging sustainability and conscious consumerism.

Preloved Secret Garden will sell all a series of known high street brands and carefully selects what comes in-store.

Boasting a unique pricing model, most of the weeks items are on sale, hence ideal for bargain hunting and fashion-savvy shoppers.

Stock is also refreshed every Thursday so that regulars can find something new while making the inventory fresh and exciting.

Such a strategy would mean not only making the experience fresh but also warranting repeat visits in anticipation of what would turn up next.
