Meet the Team
Andrew Batchelor FRSA
Founder and Director

Born with several disabilities such as cerebral palsy, autism and epilepsy, Andrew has never stopped them from impacting on the thing that he loves - promoting Dundee and showcasing it to the world.
Inspired by his late auntie's love for Dundee, Andrew, who was only 12 years of age at the time, took it upon himself to create a Facebook page to promote Dundee's UK City of Culture bid originally as a passion project, it has since built thousands of followers on other social media platforms, garnering support from over 80,000 individuals and organisations and has been visited by over 150 million people from over 100 countries worldwide.
Andrew is a Dundee Ambassador, having been officially given the title in 2014 following his work in promoting Dundee's UK City of Culture bid. He was named as one of the top Young Digital Leaders in the World in 2017.
In 2023, Andrew was nominated as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and in 2024, was named as one of the top social media influencers in Scotland. From 2022 until 2024, Andrew also wrote a column for the Evening Telegraph and The Courier.
Aside from his work with Dundee Culture, Andrew is also a Digital Content Officer for Dundee Heritage Trust, who operate the Discovery Point and Verdant Works attractions.
